What’s the itinerary?

🗓 Itinerary – Baja Odyssey Expedition

Day 1 – Arrival in La Paz

  • Group transfer from SJD airport to La Paz.
  • Hotel check-in and welcome dinner.
  • Expedition briefing: introductions, goals, and what each participant hopes to improve in their freediving this week.

Day 2 – La Ventana: Ocean Safari + Freediving Training

  • Morning transfer to La Ventana.
  • Freediving training in open water, finding the ideal spot with perfect depth and conditions.
  • Ocean Safari in search of Baja’s marine life: dolphins, sea lions, mobulas, mantas, turtles, and more.
  • Evening return to La Paz. Free time to explore the city and group dinner.

Day 3 – Espíritu Santo: Sea Lions + Shipwreck Freediving

  • Early departure to swim with the playful sea lions of Espíritu Santo.
  • Freediving training session with your instructor to refine technique.
  • Explore a shipwreck with freediving.
  • Picnic lunch on the island.
  • Afternoon return to La Paz, followed by transfer to Magdalena Bay (MagBay). Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 – MagBay: Striped Marlin Ocean Safari

  • Early morning departure.
  • Ocean safari in search of seabirds leading us to bait balls — where marlins, sea lions, and other predators gather.
  • Full day at sea: long, action-packed, and worth every moment.

Day 5 – MagBay: Ocean Safari

  • Another day on the water, maximizing chances for pelagic wildlife.
  • Visit to the mangroves and sand dunes.
  • Evening dinner and rest in MagBay.

Day 6 – Departure

For those extending their stay in La Paz, drop-off in town can be arranged instead.

Early breakfast and group transfer back to SJD airport.

Do I need to be certified in freediving to join?

Not at all!
You don’t need to be certified to join.

If you’ve never done freediving before, you can get your AIDA 1 certification during the expedition — we include 2 full days of training with a certified instructor, so you’ll learn everything step by step.

And if you’re already certified, we’ll help you train deeper and refine your technique.

So it works great for both beginners and experienced freedivers — as long as you love the ocean and adventure 💙
