Embark on an extraordinary journey with our 5-day Freediving Training and Wildlife Safari in the breathtaking La Ventana, Baja. This immersive experience combines intensive freediving training with the excitement of exploring the rich marine life that graces the waters of the Sea of Cortez.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival
Arrive at SJD airport. You will be picked up at the airport with the other members of the expedition and transfer to La Ventana. Get settled and have a delicious dinner and expedition briefing.
Day 2-3: Freediving Training
Immerse yourself in the world of freediving during the first two days of the tour. We will guide you through both theory and practical sessions, focusing on tuning your skills and enhancing your depth capabilities. La Ventana’s crystal-clear waters provide an ideal setting for you to train freediving. We will do a morning stretch or breath work specific for freediving, then hop on the boat for depth training. Come back, have lunch and in the afternoon we will do theory that will help you overcome what’s stopping you from going deeper.
Day 4-5: Training and Wildlife Safari
The adventure continues as you seamlessly transition into the dual experience of half-day freediving training and half-day wildlife safari. The first part of the day we will focus on depth training. In the other half of the day, embark on an ocean safari to witness the incredible biodiversity of the region, including dolphins, sea lions, and more.
Day 6: Espiritu Santo Sea Lion Dive (Optional, Additional Cost)
On this bonus day, you’ll embark on a journey to Espiritu Santo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This day will be for fun freediving. First swimming with the playful sea lions and then going to a shipwreck or a local reef to freedive. The playfulness antics and inquisitive nature of the sea lions create an unforgettable and magical underwater encounter.
